Fountain Fun in Seattle

Fountain at the Seattle Center...of course they ended up drenched.

Seattle, WA

We spent a lovely morning with Matt Matt at her house in Kent. She treated us to a wonderful breakfast of pancakes and eggs she even had wild huckleberry syrup imported from Idaho just for us, hee, hee. The boys had some good down time building robots and trains with Matt Matt's lego blocks.

Seattle, WA

We pulled in to Seattle early evening and with the help of the internet discovered that we could visit Seattle's Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museums for free. We lucked out to find a nice big parking lot to store our rig for a few hours while we walked around the museums and surrounding areas. Noel, Liam and Rory enjoyed the displays at the museums Ewan was a little less interested but had fun trying to loose his parents. The most fun was at the big dome fountain at the Seattle Center where the boys had a great time trying to avoid getting drenched. When we got back to the parking area later that evening we found that our lucky parking lot wasn't so great. We found our rig pinned in on all sides by cars parked way too close, like some kind of joke. We were well prepared, however, for a campout having towed all of our things with us. We fixed ourselves a spaghetti dinner and sat back to catch up on journal entries and enjoy a fabulous view of the Space Needle all lit up in the night sky.

Western Canada

A full day of driving in the rain through beautiful mountainous Canada. The vistas were breathtaking.

Vancouver, B.C.

Spent the day in Burnaby just outside of Vancouver BC. We found an RV park that supplied us with all the comforts we needed to catch up with things like laundry, showering, excersize and swimming. The three younger boys spent some time in Smaland at IKEA climbing around and jumping in a pool of big, blue plastic balls. The lady working there was really nice and Liam quickly made friends with her and told her all about our road adventure.She complimented us on our nice children. Noel and the other two adults in the family checked out the store. Lots of cool storage ideas.

The Trans-Canada Highway

We bid farewell to the Blomfield family and set off again for more adventures and fun. The sky ahead of us looked pretty ominous. We travelled through Banff National Park up through Lake Louise and a town called Golden. Rory and Noel took up the activity of counting waterfalls along the route they got tired of it after 146.
